It seems like every year a little indie game comes out without warning and it just blows my mind. In the first few hours of Shiness: The Lightning Kingdom, I thought I had found the game of the year. The world is vibrant, the characters are fun and interesting, and all the systems are deep and well-developed. This RPG felt great from the start, with one exception. The combat felt tough and confusing for the sake of difficulty, but that didn’t matter at first. However, the deeper I got into the game, the more frustrating it became.
